Intermediate Policy Brief

The BIOSECURE project is working to equip livestock farming decision-makers with the knowledge and tools to implement evidence-based, cost-effective, and sustainable biosecurity measures. Hence, we have created a policy brief that presents the results, key findings and recommendations arising from the BIOSECURE project, which highlights:

➜ The importance of farm biosecurity in preventing disease outbreaks
➜ The latest developments on epidemic and transboundary animal diseases in Europe
➜ The ongoing threat of endemic diseases to livestock sustainability and animal welfare
➜ A shift in the research agenda from reactive outbreak response to proactive disease prevention
➜ Key project results and outputs so far
