Edgar Garcia Manzanilla

Veterinarian

Edgar Garcia Manzanilla is a veterinarian from Barcelona promoting prudent use of antimicrobials through research and innovation for far too long (since 2000) mostly interested in science that helps farmers and makes the world a better place. He started his research work in the area of nutrition and gut health in Spain and France and then moved over the years to epidemiology studies working in California and now in Ireland. He holds a Master in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (MPVM, UCDavis) and is a diplomate of the European College of Porcine Health Management.

Currently, he is working on national and international projects on biosecurity, AMR, and nutrition and is/was a member of different policy advising groups like national animal health working groups or EU EIP-AGRI focus groups.
