Erika Chenais is an Associate Professor in Veterinary Medicine and Infectious Disease Epidemiology (DVM, PhD) with a dissertation on the epidemiology and socioeconomic impact of African swine fever in smallholder settings in Uganda. Her current research focus on the epidemiology of infectious animal diseases mainly in the global south, with particular interests in participatory epidemiology and understanding how social and cultural contexts shape disease control.
