Julia Gabrielle Jerab graduated in 2023 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University (Belgium). During her master’s degree, she completed a five-month internship at the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe, gaining valuable knowledge on the role of veterinarians in public health and policy making, and publishing her first article on metaphylactic antimicrobial use by European livestock veterinarians. After gaining her veterinary degree, she immediately joined the Epidemiology Unit of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University as a doctoral candidate and is primarily involved in the Biosecure project.
