In 2020, Laura completed her veterinary studies with a focus on Research at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ghent. Following graduation, she promptly embarked on her career as a practicing veterinarian. After gaining a year of hands-on experience, she secured a position as a veterinary inspector at the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain, where she dedicated two years to ensuring food safety. More recently, she started working as an assistant within the epidemiology research group and is actively contributing to the BioSecure project.
