Line Svennesen holds a PhD in herd and population-oriented research and veterinary epidemiology and does research in mastitis diagnostics, prevention, and treatment in dairy cattle. She has a broad interest in dairy cattle farming. She also has a range of stakeholders in focus on research, i.e. veterinarians, farmers, and consumers. She has done a lot of work to put her research into a societal perspective through teaching and popular science. She is currently employed as an assistant professor at the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at the University of Copenhagen.
