Mathilde Paul graduated from the National Veterinary School of Maisons-Alfort (France) in 2003. She holds a Masters and a PhD in Health Geography (2011) from the University of Paris-X. Her PhD was undertaken in collaboration with INRA (the French National Institute for Agricultural Research) and CIRAD (the French agricultural research and international cooperation organization). During her PhD, which focused on the determinants of the HPAI H5N1 epidemic in Thailand, she was hosted for two years by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand. In 2012, after a post-doc with CIRAD, Mathilde joined the ENVT as an Assistant Professor in Veterinary Epidemiology.
