Biosecurity champions

One of BIOSECURE project’s communication activity is the BIOSECURE Podcast which features bimonthly episodes focused on biosecurity in animal production. Each episode explores key topics, challenges, and innovations in the field.

A regular segment of the podcast, “Biosecurity Champions,” highlights inspiring individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing biosecurity. In this segment, guests are invited to shine a spotlight on those whose work has had a meaningful impact in the field.

In this episode, Dr. Scott Dee, DVM, MS, PhD: veterinarian, researcher, and Director of Research at Pipestone Veterinary Services was the guest and prior to this episode, he was nominated as a biosecurity champion by Dr. Jean-Pierre Vaillancourt, Professor at Faculté de Médecine Vétérinaire, Québec, Canada. 
Dr. Dee nominated Alex Thompson as a biosecurity champion. 

 
#14 Biosecurity challenges and the role of economics & behavioural insights

In this episode, ⁠Damian Tago Pacheco⁠, Biosecurity and Animal Health Economics Coordinator at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) nominated Alison Burrell Health psychologist, Animal Health Ireland as a biosecurity champion.
